BBC Journalist Expelled From North Korea

After 8 hours of investigation, North Korean Administration decided to expel BBC Journalist Rupert Wingfield and his team over disappointment for their coverage highlighting aspects of life in North Korea.

north koreaTop pressmen of BBC, producer Maria Byrne and cameraman Matthew Goddard were detained by Korean authorities on Friday just hours before leaving North Korea.

All 3 were made to sign a statement before release and now have been taken to the airport.

The BBC crew was in North Korea ahead of the Workers Party Congress, escorting an elite group of Nobel prize laureates conducting a research trip.
