Telangana DGP Shri Anurag Sharma, issuing the suspension orders said, that an oral inquiry has been ordered against DSP, Mahbubnagar, M. Sai Manohar, DSP, Yellandu, Khammam, G. Prakash Rao, DSP Venkata Narsaiah and Inspector,Gadwal G. Venkataiah
9 months of investigation headed by Inspector General Y. Nagi Reddy revealed that police officers of different ranks had links with Maoist-turned-gangster, Nayeemuddin.
It is to be noted that Gangster Nayeem, was shot and killed in an ENCOUNTER in Mahbubnagar in 2016.
Police officers who were found to have direct link with Nayeem while he was alive.

Asst Commissioner of police, Mirchowk, Mallineni Srinivas Rao,
Asst commissioner of police, CP Detective department, M Chintamaneni Srinivas,
Inspector Kothagudem Rajagopal, and
Inspector Traffic, Sangareddy, Mastan Vali were shown to have direct links with the gangster.
As per the journalist inputs, Departmental action will be taken against following 15 other officers and one constable as they were found to have received financial benefit in the form of cash and kind by settling land disputes and civil issues.
