Before you dig in for information, lemme tell you what exactly is VoLTE service?
VoLTE stands for voice over LTE (Long Term Evolution) and is a standard for high-speed wireless communication for mobile phones and data terminals. To make it more clear it stands for voice calls over a 4G LTE network, rather than 2G or 3G connections. Network over LTE offers improvement in the quality of voice calling. Apart from HD voice quality, it can also provide improved coverage. VoLTE can connect calls up to twice as fast as the current methods and as 2G and 3G connections will still be available when there’s no 4G signal, it simply means that there’s greater mobile coverage overall.
If you are a subscriber of Vodafone, you have a good news. Vodafone is all set to roll-out its Vodafone VoLTE services by January 2018. The service will allow the Vodafone SuperNet 4G customers to experience HD calling. Vodafone will not charge extra for the service and the customers will only need a handset supporting Vodafone VoLTE and a 4G SIM. Currently, only Reliance Jio and Airtel are offering this service in India.
Vodafone plans to make the service available across the country but in the first phase, VoLTE service will be offered in
