Proj AasPass Ki Khoj launched in MP Schools

In a remarkable move and to acquaint it students in government schools about the local culture, traditions and rituals and to enlighten the students about the local festivals, old age traditions and beliefs in their respective areas, the Madhya Pradesh Government has unveiled AasPass Ki Khoj Program which suggestively means “A Search In The Neighborhood”

In an interview, a Public Relations Department Officer at School Education Department informed, that this provincially oriented program would immensely benefit students by teaching lessons. He said, that as of now about 2,966 schools have been chosen from 51 districts and the planned program will be divided by zones, he added.


The Government has already issued directives to principals, District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) of the districts concerned and the project co-ordinators of the District Education Centers regarding the same.

The Highlights Of AasPass Ki Khoj Program
Under this program, apart from theoretical lessons many activity based programs have been included. Legends of national heroes who gave up lives for the country, emphasis of historical and local cultural heritage and above all the attempt to make their respective village or town polythene free will be the key highlights in this project.

Additionally, local traditions and beliefs, native festivals, regional crops, action to be taken during natural calamities, community culture, ballad, and ancient proverbs will also be a part of this program.

Finally, a book will be written depicting the project works. The higher officials from Education Department have been directed to monitor and implement the activities by segregating the students into teams of class 6, 7 and 8 respectively.
