Afghanistan releases a new export route to India via Iran, in order to improve the economy of the countries.

Officials reported that 23 trucks carrying 55 tonnes of dried fruits, textiles, carpets and mineral products were dispatched from western Afghan city of Zaranj to Iran’s Chabahar port.

The Iranian port enables easy access to the sea route between India and Pakistan which has in turn led to compensating the trade deficit incurred by Afghanistan.
