The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei is expected to launch its ‘Mate X’ with a foldable display in the second half of 2019. This was announced by the director of the company, Wally Yang in Delhi.
This phone would be made available globally. However, no dates or price have been announced by the director yet. But the early adopters and the premium customers are likely to be the target customers.
The Mate X will be a definite competitor to Samsung’s Galaxy Fold. In comparison to Samsung’s Galaxy Fold, Mate X holds an edge in terms of fold-ability and thickness. This phone would be able to fold backwards which would give it a look of a regular smartphone. It would also be only 11mm thick which would make it look slimmer and feel lighter.
