Indian President Shri Ram Nath Kovind spoke about taking “necessary measures” to protect India and its citizens and ensured welfare of his people, in a speech in Croatia. He made this statement while referring to the IAF strikes in Balakot which was followed by the devastating Pulwama attack.
The tension between the two countries India and Pakistan increased when Pakistan-based terrorist group led by Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) killed 40 CRPF personnel in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district on February 14 this year.
The IAF strikes were launched as a means to counter-attack and retaliate in the JeM training camp in Balakot. The President is the first ever head of the state to visit Croatia along with his wife Savita Kovind on Monday. Kovind expressed his hearty gratitude towards the Croatian government for all their support.
