Six employees at Greater Noida factory of OPPO tested positive for Covid-19, the Chinese manufacturer of OPPO handsets, have suspended its operations.
Recently, the UP government gave permission to open and run factories with around 30 per cent of employees maintaining social distancing procedures. A day after the nod, the factories resumed operations. A day after six workers at the Greater Noida Oppo Handsets factory of OPPO tested positive for Covid-19, the Chinese manufacturer of OPPO handsets, placing the safety of all employees at the forefront, have suspended its operations.
There were about 3,000 employees working in the factory at the time covid-19 detected. Now the organization has to initiate testing for all employees and have to wait for the reports. Only the employees with negative test results will be allowed to resume office, following all safety protocols. OPPO official stated.
Oppo has also taken stringent measures to keep the surroundings safe by disinfecting the premises,” the statement added.
Speaking to IANS, OPPO employee informed,” We are asked not to visit the factory till further notice, as six COVID-19 cases have been positive at our factory unit”, the worker added.
